Our third and final visit

Went VERY well!

She was at our house from about 10:45 until 2pm.

We talked about many things in this visit such as...

1) What would happen if something happened to Rob and I

2) How we would discipline our child

3) If our child is of a different ethnic background, would we embrace their culture and teach them about it

4) What would be their religious background? Would we go to church or teach them about faith

5) If we have any history of abuse

When our social worker walked into the house she said that it was beautiful, which is always a very good sign! She also said that Rob and I have accomplished alot in our lives and that we were very responsible adults that were ready for a child! How wonderful is that to hear! We were beside ourselves with excitement! Now we just wait, we need to find an agency to actually adopt through. We only had our home study done through St. Andre's. We do not qualify as adoptive parents to go through them so looking for another agency it is. We had had some amazing input about which ones to use. We are currently looking at Bethany Christian Services, and a few in Maine. Unfortunatley MAPS is closed to domestic adoption, so I guess it is just an on-going search it seems. When the right agency is found we will know. This sort of thing does not just happen overnight it is something we are going to have to continually work at. Thanks all for hanging in there through this process with us. We will definitley keep you updated about how things are going...We appreciate your support! *Rob and Erin*
